When to create the report
We recommend reviewing this report at the end of each month for accounting purposes.
How to create the report
- From the SalonBiz/SpaBiz menu bar, click on the Report icon.
- Click the Open button.
- Select Inventory in the report sub-category field.
- Select the Current Status of Inventory by Category report.
What it tells you
The report is separated into 6 areas:
- Category - your product categories
- On hand quantity - current inventory stock amount for the category listed
- Extended cost - total cost associated with the products in that category
- Extended retail - total retail dollars associated with the products in that category
- Profit % - percentage of profit that can be made on the products in that category
- Cost of goods % - COGS percentage for the products in that category
How it's used
This report is used for analyzing your current inventory stock. It allows you to see how your inventory is divided and determine what areas can be altered if needed.
