Special Requirements and Equipment
- QuickBooks 2002 Professional or later (Basic Editions are not supported)
- A basic understanding of QuickBooks and accounting practices prior to implementation.
- The setup of the QuickBooks Chart of Accounts (the accounts that receive data from SalonBiz®/SpaBiz®).
Implementation
Please allow one week for implementation. QuickBooks Integration implementation consists of one day for installation. Allow at least one week to map unique configurations.
Education
An on-line education session is provided for your team. Unlimited training is available with the SalonBiz®/SpaBiz® subscription.

Can I do my payroll with the QuickBooks Integration?
No, the QuickBooks Integration currently does not transfer payroll information from SalonBiz®/SpaBiz® to QuickBooks.
If I make a change to a category in SalonBiz®/SpaBiz® will it automatically reflect the change in QuickBooks?
The information exported to QuickBooks is generated directly from your SalonBiz®/SpaBiz® database, so any changes you make in the database will be reflected in QuickBooks. However, when making changes to your SalonBiz®/SpaBiz® accounts you will also need to make sure you re-map those changes in QuickBooks.
Will the QuickBooks Integration be able to calculate my taxes?
Yes, the QuickBooks Integration will export your product and service sales taxes based on your account structure however; it will not export any type of payroll taxes.
Can I use QuickBooks on a computer not running SalonBiz®/SpaBiz®?
Sure, you have the ability to configure the QuickBooks Integration to run remotely.
Does my accountant have to complete the setup?
The person that completes the setup and maintains and monitors the QuickBooks Integration should have a working knowledge of the accounting program itself as well as your account structure (Chart of Accounts).
How does the QuickBooks Integration handle gift certificate sales?
Gift certificates will have an account setup as a current liability. This account will be linked to both gift certificates sales and payments. The same account will be credited when a gift certificate is sold and debited when a gift certificate is redeemed.
